There is protection from mountains and hills in view all around and yet the winds that come up are epic and will blow sand in to any open area, from your camera gear to your mouth...
Then 5 minutes later you'll be taking your coat off and sweating from the direct sun.
We walked through what felt like 5 weather patterns in one afternoon up there :D
