There is this great old growth forest by Parksville on Vancouver Island that has amazing scenes throughout. If you get the chance to see that area, it's well worth the time.
To the left of this scene is a waterfall into a gorge that was spraying mist throughout the area.

No, I have never been there... the closest was a bad landing at Tacoma and never had any desire to go back! LOL But who knows--I have a friend in AK that wants me to come up and join her on the ferry ride through the inside passage so with your encouragement, would probably do some exploring while I'm in the area.
