Description
My dad was a connoisseur for coffee...
I spent a lot of time trying to take him out for a cup that he felt was up to snuff.
'Nice try, son'.
He always graciously drank it with me, because he understood that the real reason we were there was to spend time together, but I never did get him a coffee that was on par with what he made for his clients in the salon every day.
Since he passed away 10 years ago, I've been getting better at making it, and now I understand and relate to him on it...
I'm still not as good as he was at it, but those memories are always going to make the coffee seem richer for him being there.

First things first, I liked this immediately because I love coffee. Not swimming pool water which seems to be what some places are serving, especially where I live, since it is not a big city. That said, I read the description and felt the love you had for your dad and how important he was in life and found that very touching. Shows a lot about who you are!
