Description

After a 25 minute drive and a 20 minute hike, you can go from Invermere to the very top of Mt. Swansea, which is where hang gliders and paragliders lift off. At the right, you can see the North ramp that hang gliders take off from. From here you can see the entire North side of the valley, which is kind of intoxicating on the right day.

Thanks David :) Yup...9 hours...and to answer the most common question...they run an 'exhaust' tube down the leg...If you see paragliders flying overhead, that may not be rain ;) If you gotta go, you gotta go! :D

Thank you both so much ! It's so true, this mountain really makes you want to just sit back and soak in as much as possible...even jump off of it to see what else is there. I have a friend there who paraglides off of it and has floated up and down the valley for 9 hours straight! someday I'll do that with a camera.
