Castle Mt., formerly Mt. Deifenbaker (much better name now...not even sure if I spelled Deifenbaker right...) is one of the most recognizable features in the entire area by Banff, Alberta, Canada.
It's always been one of my favourite peaks, since it sits right on the junction between either traveling to Lake Louise, Banff, or Radium Hot Springs.
One of my other photos of it hangs 5' across on canvas in Invermere, BC, and when a friend saw it there, it brought a tear to his eye...this was the last peak he climbed before he hung up his climbing gear forever. At that size, he could point out exactly the route he and his friends had taken to climb it. I haven't seen it yet, but he told me of a lake just behind it that I will have to get to soon.

Hello Monte, when I came across this magnificent, the first thing which came to mind was Purple Mountains Majesty, the colors, the composition, are just amazing.
